Actual representation

Politicians, are elected to represent the people. Why is it then that the people need John Stewart to represent us against Congress when Congress has been elected to represent us? I found Jon to be completely right about first responders in 911. Congress sat there like they didn't believe a word of what he said. The same thing happened during the depression. I can't remember who was president but that president denied the fact that there was a depression until someone else got elected & fixed everything. VOTE FOR A NEW CONGRESS 2020. One that isn't backed by big business.

I laugh because the American government has become what this country was formed against & that was tyranny. Taxation without representation. If the elected officials aren't representing the people & Jon Stewart has to go plead for funding for the first responders at 911, then how is congress useful in representing us?

I know for a fact the police charge people who are in jail money & expect us to pay it out the bottom of our hearts. Even when they don't say so. My bill was over 8,000 dollars for a year in jail. Of course the first bill I got when I first got there was the same amount as the last one when I left. Obviously they were betting I wouldn't get off. An unrepresented tax for food, & my medication which if I didn't take would be detrimental to my health & I'd probably die.

Don't trust politicians, they're just there to make money. It seems like they spent money on a million things we don't need & when it comes down to it, something we do need like money for the first responders at 911 is denied because there's no money left. Big business doesn't want to spring for something that would actually do the people good.

Thanks Mr. Stewart.
