Actually, it was a great book. You would think that it was written by someone dying of Alzheimer's only you would need your mind to write the book. The main character Edna, goes through these vivid delusions about her past & her grandson David's entire life is nearly completely consumed by his grandmother in the last few years of her life.
Sadly, I don't think many people with Alzheimer's get as much love from their families as Edna did in this book. Most of them are neglected & left to die in nursing homes. Edna was allowed to live at home right up until the very end. Partly because she was so stubborn & mostly because she was capable.
The delusions included thinking her mother was with her & her husband who was dead. The first thing that happened was her son Larry died & that just blew open the book, which made it very interesting.
I give this book an 8 out of 10. I didn't have any problems paying attention & it was a really fun read.
